Button – BBC1 TV Game Show

The Button - BBC One - Pontypridd.

The Button can arrive in any home around the country, will visit five families or friends each week and place a talking button at the heart of their front room where the teams face spontaneous challenges against the clock to win a cash prize.

The teams must keep a beady eye on the button which turns from green to red when it’s time to play. They miss it at their peril as it’s a race against the clock to hit the button and start the game.

The Button delivers the task they must complete in the quickest time, interacts with them, and also reveals their rival teams on screen and the results.

Andrew says “It was fab being one of the production crew electricians / lighting technicians on this multi location game show production for BBC 1”

Good to be installing new Stage Electrics at The Forum Theatre in Bath.

With the growing electrical demands by visits events the existing electrical supply to the stage needed upgrading.

Electrician and Lighting Technician Andrew Evans-Jones said “This was a difficult cable run of some 100 mtrs from the front of the building, around the building and up into the rear stage area”

Film Lighting Hire – Firebug Lighting

On a warm sunny day in South Wales it can be very tempting to head for Barry Island, Porthcawl or the Gower Beaches but for Andrew and the rest of the film crew the show must go on.

Seen here with Roger Burnell at BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff the sun cream was out for the full day with temperatures of 25 deg C.

It’s hard work on a warm sunny day lighting a film set in South Wales

Electrician and Lighting Technician Andrew says “yes it was a lovely sunny day but if I’m honest I think the crew outside the trailers had an easy day on this shoot, I felt sorry for the actors and crew inside the trailer filming. When the weather is good it makes for a great day of filming”.
